Reminisce…

This is the 2nd last day of year 2006. I’m writing my New Year resolutions le.

Going through the memories like flipping the pages of a storybook:
~ why some of the close friends have to go?
Jiayang (dec 2005) & Aunty Rina (apr 2006) for a better job environment,
Qiuyi (dec 2006) & Uncle Hie (gone soon in feb 2007) for further studies.
Sigh…
~ one of my "brother’s" back for good & the other’s leaving.
Chor Kian is back from his attachment in Boston as a research scientist (Cool leh!). But… Szu Liang is going for his Masters in Clinical pharmacy in Perth in feb 2007. Both are gone for one and a half years. Xian…
~ a few of my patients passed away.
Thank God that one of the girls survived.
~gone to the furthest place that I’ve ever go = San Francisco (17 hours to go there)
I don’t like the cool and cold feeling at night and when you wake up.
~ Spend a nice & Happy 21st b’day with loved friends & colleagues.
Thanks a lot, you guys for everything and the presents.

These are just the highlights I wanna mention. About the sad days… who wants to remember? Just dump all into the trash bag. :p

My 2007 new year wishes (not including my 21st bday wishes. I have too many wishes to write le.) ->
~ go cycling and outing with Siuling-jie & Chor Kian-gege
~ get Uncle Hie’s email address
~ take a break every afternoon to do the capsules (I hate this part!)
~ go singing karaoke more with the gals
~ apply for university
~ find a nice dress for Siuling-jie’s & Chor Kian-gege’s wedding

Itz a busy day and someone is getting on my nerves.

Due to the holiday season, our mornings are always the busiest. It is likewise for today.

"We need to call for help le. The waiting time for the express queue is reaching 45mins le", I said. Coz Lady boss has gone for renovation meeting, Aishing's off-call and Uncle Hie's covering Oncology pharmacy. Diao...

"Hello? Are you all very busy? Is Siuling or Uncle Hie around? Can you ask him to answer the call?" I asked Huijin. "We're okay here. Our orders haven't come in yet." she replied.
"Yes?! FXL?"Uncle Hie said on the line."Can you don't be so rude? People is asking for your help. Leh!" I shouted. The colleagus on the other end of the phone laughed. "Okay okay... Ms foo, wat's up?" He replied (knowing that i'm really pissed off). "Can you come down and help and also get helpers? It's really jammed here." I muttered. "Okay," he replied.

So annoying xia, I told Shifu. Why is he acting so childish? Trying to get on my nerves... Hmm.. Dotz... Idiot gege xia!

Not my type of guy…

I’m afraid that I’ll like him. I’m not sure of my feelings. Sigh… (Can’t there be a PLATONIC friendship or brother-and-sister relationship between a guy and a girl?)
Some of my girlfriends tried to sabotage and tease me. They just think otherwise. I can’t be bothered with this bcoz’ I have tonnes of work to do and he’s leaving for further studies in Perth. ] I was telling Meixiu all this.

Haha… haiz. (No way, man. That’s crazy.) "I like the height. That’s it. Full stop!" my girlfriend will laugh when I said that to them. Forget it lah! The more you try to explain, the more the rest will think that I like him. Noo…

He only has a younger brother and guy cousins (I guess). So I would assume he’s teasing and treating me like a little sister. I don’t care what the rest of the pharmacy gang will say bcoz’ my conscience is clear. There are no fast heartbeats or breathless moments. (I may have thought too much on this part. So dramatic right?)

I've been constipated for so long... And i really had enough of this nonsense le.

Haiz... this is always my opening expression. Why...? Well... it's usually about the stupid work that i have to do.

Okay... First thing first.. it's about the things that i'm in-charge of: Extemporaneous syrups, Biotin and Sodium Benzoate powder. And also some other problems lah...

I need to talk to my boss lady about the preparation of extemp. syrups le. Coz another area is gonna be renovated and the staff is asking when they can stop making things for us. Hah...? But the thing is there are people who don't do things and they juz talk with their mouths. Damned annoying loh. We need the space and the manpower le but look at the staff.. Not that i'm being sarcastic but... the character-wise. They really kinda sux BIG TIME loh.

Thank God that when she came to work this afternoon, she saw my LONG note. I wrote truthfully, saying that people are unsure what they are supposed to do.
So we will have a lesson with them and pair them up with the staff that are more experienced. If not, they (the nonsensical ones) will juz scream for the person-in-charge of that duty. I'm sick and tired of that loh. Nobody listens to me de bcoz I'm the youngest and least-experienced.

I juz wanna drop everything here and run. But I'm not that type of person who do that and my boss knows Ms Mad Hor. Damned... Bad luck xia.

Christmas party that won’t be the same as 2005’s.

Even before Aunty Florence told me "I’m not going to the party," I’ve made up my mind not to attend le. I just feel that it’s not the same like last year (2005’s). With so many people coming and going, the fond memories and fun times are gone. All are broken into pieces that can never be mended together. (You might think that I’m being childish but... it just feels different.)

One of my close colleagues, Uncle Ben said "Xiuli is a sour pussy." (Like I care?) Some of my girlfriends and even Uncle Hie tried to persuade me but in vain. It won’t be as fun and exciting like last year’s. (Just feel it isn’t right.)

If I didn’t meet my friend for dinner, I would just be reading the Bible and remembering the good old days at a quiet corner of the airport.

It is a truth we all need to learn.

What a beautiful truth -- Jesus will provide! I'm not saying that hewould have provided for his own personal need, but time and time againJesus showed both his willingness and his ability to provide for those who were around him.

It was a truth the apostles needed to learn. Surrounded by thousands of people, Jesus said to them, "Give them something to eat" (Matthew 14:16).Their response to their Lord indicated their recognition that Jesus had asked the impossible of them. They didn't have the resources. Jesus did.

It is a truth we all need to learn. Whatever your NEED may be, whatever crisis you may be going through, whatever strength you need to cope with the struggles in your life, Jesus will provide. He has both the willingness and the ability to provide for those in need.

"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

This was from a galfren of mine via email. It's so sweet and nice to know that the Lord cares for us.

I need some encouragement now. No... since a few months back. Been unhappy about work, overtime and stuffs. Bloody hell!

Anyway, i'm back from San Francisco. The weather is so cool. Dun wanna come back. But i miss my bed and Spore food. Will upload the pics in a few days time. PC got problem.

Nice scenery... seagulls, yachts, the blue sky with no buildings..

It'll be dark and romantic at night, seeing the nightsky with your dardar. (Me? i don't have one lah. Lol...)

We woke up early for exploring the place and also we still felt the jet lag.

The halloween-style house was nice and eerie. Haha... took quite a few pics though.

So their typical breakfast is different from ours. Scrambled eggs (with bacons, capsicum, mushrooms?), bread with garlic spread and OJ (means orange juice). My jiejie was so embarassed. Ppl asked her whether she need more juice. She gave a blur face. Haha...

1st day in San francisco was a disaster...

(Jiejie was stupid loh.) She emailed her gf the wrong timing (should be 11am de, but put as 11pm). Crap lah!



Then we arrived early at the Airport. Waited for almost 2 hours (i almost freaked!), still no sign of her gf (Damned!). Felt like strangling her xia..

Finally, her gf (Caroline), gf's husband-to-be, gf's sister and bf came. Thank god xia. >_<"

Gone to rent a car and headed straight to the boathouse. It's kinda like our local chalet but much BIGGER and it's directly next to the sea.


This is the pic and the name of the boathouse that we stayed for 2 or 3 days.. So nice and cooling to be resting and not thinking or giving a damn about work stuffz..

Thank God that i feel relieved at last...

Yesterday was the worst day ever. Coz there's so many people on normal or urgent leave. I had to sacrifice my patient's courier (but i couldn't let the dad know the whole truth) and packing the capsules' thingy. So what was instructed, was cashiering and going Business Office to collect money changes. Thank God the lady was nice enough (bcoz' i bugged her about short of pharmacy staff, it will be chaotic during lunchtime to come & i may have difficulty to come in the afternoon to collect $$).

Bah bah... So after closing shop, BAD NEWS. There's a short of profit money and need to do tonnes of things then and the next morning.

Then i be a good gal to send the medicine to the kid's house. Luckily, the father was nice. Thanks for his understanding.

Today "bagged" a important parcel of milk powder and medicine for a child. It's a TOP SECRET thingy. The details of the case was troublesome to do but i did get the hang of it. I waited so long for the courier company to answer the line and understand what i mean.

Oopz... i did 4got to inform everyone that I took the other syrup out from the lab and kept my courier uncle waiting. He was sweet to send me to buy lunch next door (he came when i was about to leave for lunch so he drive me), at the police post (coz he needs to get a package there). Must remember to get him soomething real nice (sort of solid meals) as he's always busy. He has no time to eat properly.

Bloody HELL?!

ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I LAST WROTE.

But if I didn't write today, i just can't get the discomfort off my chest.
There's a lot of patients today at the Accident & Emergency. I'm fine with that (coz' its a usual Saturday afternoon to start like that).

Here's how the story begins... ... (dun mind my words but try to think about my meaning behind them)

~ the "Thalessmia" (paiseh, i duno how to spell the proper word for the blood disorder) patient's Mum came with her monthly weird orders. One to charge to Medisave, another to this and that NETS card and something else's payment by cash,

~ THANK GOD that Uncle Ben changed my morning shift with me (coz' there isn't anyone tp look after one of our nite staff's son so she had to take care of the 1plus year old ) so I worked at 10am (WITHOUT BREAKFAST) to 5.30pm as the afternoon duty. (Okie.) The problem is that no staff after the afternoon duty so I volunteered to stay.

~ Need to work till 9pm. (One of my fav drama series is showing 9pm.) I screamed into the phone to my sister. (She asked me to take taxi home bcoz' I'm really tired le.)

~ I couldn't stand the stress and cried again. BLOoDy idiot... such a crybaby...

~ Then the strange patients came. There's why BLOODY HELL starts... one to ask us to change the tablets to syrups (coz' the kid cannot swallow. I can understand this. I will also refuse as the tablet is really too big.) The next one asked us to supply antibiotic syrups bcoz' cannot come during office hours. (So nice of my colleague to give them. I'm being the bad gal here.) Haha....

~ Short-handed le!!! Nice of the porter uncle to let us call him much later to collect inpatient supplies and discharges,

~ told my colleague that "i don't care. If she needs to leave and left only me? I will call the on-call and Chief pharmacist to come and attend the patients. And I will CLOSE the shop. In this kindof situation, you tell me the school's reputation is important or my rest day? Who cares?"

... ...

Why is this week the week b4 Lunar New Year? And itz so busy.

Wah... what?! The prayer i said earlier, has no effect on the situation at the pharmacy. (Face it, as Chinese New Year is coming and today is a Monday. So it will be busy, not Szuliang's bad luck when he opened the shutters.)

Diao... bad start of the week....

And there's some problems with the extemporaneous cases, plus Rina, the empress dowager (aka technician in -charge) is not around. CUTE!?

My head gonna grow double in size and burst soon bcoz' of a headache that developed in the morning. I told brother, Szuliang "I don't care le." Well... there's my way of saying i'm quite stressed out le.
I ran to my desk to drink some h2o or i'll get dehydrated. I thought that they r gonna starve me. (I won't faint lah but I will turn from dehydrated i.e. red faced to pale pink and purple faced). I meant to have the signs and symptoms of low blood sugar.

Just when i thought i'm the only one who dun like her, it turns out that everyone else did too.

The moment i sat at my desk, my colleague, Ben asked whether In-paitent pharmacy faxed a copy of the prescription to us becoz' a patient wants to collect the supply of Phenobarbitone syrup. The first thing i heard from Ben and CheePheng was that the NYP student wants to prepare.

Usually, I'm okay with that. But... this time, it's NOT okay for her to do it. Becoz' Retail pharmacy is her first station as an attachment student and i have not DEMO to her before, (plus the kid is just 18 days old). There's NO WAY i'll let her do it de.

After i've made the syrup and contacted the parent, i was 'saved' by Aishing (one of head pharmacist). She call her and talked to her for awhile.

At the end of the day, i told Siliang about it. He mentioned to me that our 2nd head in-charge had SCOLDED her already (Wah! becoz' my boss usually won't scold people de, no matter how angry she is). This time, the kid really blew it.
