My close pals and I had already made plans to celebrate my birthday since the start of November. This year’s celebration will be fun and yummy (you will know why later on.). The schedule that follows, indicate where and who I go with for the “party” (Enjoy!):
07/11/05 -> 11-11-05 My colleague wanted to have dinner with me to celebrate our birthday (Both of us are Scorpios. His birthday is on 6th Nov and mine is on 10th Nov.). Too bad… he was sick so we postponed the date.
The food at Terra, Parco Bugis is very tasty and nice. He ate Seafood Carbonara. I ordered Sweet & Sour fish set. We waited quite long for the food to arrive and he’s getting inpatient. I said, “They have to catch fresh seafood for us mah.” But the two of us were starving le.
We always ended up drinking tomato soup as starters (coz’ there was once we ate at Delifrance. My appetizer was minestrone soup). The seafood set was cheesy and mine, the fish
matched nicely with the sauce (but it’s kind of salty). Lastly, I ordered Apple strudel with ice cream (actually I wanted tiramisu but apple strudel was a healthier choice). The apple strudel was warm. The contrast that it had with the ice cream tasted heavenly. It was so nice except that the “UFO brownie with ice cream” at TCC was better.
10/11/05 The truth is that I wanted to spend some quiet time by myself on my Birthday.
While I was doing some work, my boss pat me on the
back and wished me Happy Birthday. (I was so embarrassed. The TPN team sang the birthday song so loudly until everyone came running to see who the lucky gals were.)
Being the youngest in the pharmacy, I am looked after a lot. But sharing the same birthday as my boss… it’s so paiseh leh.

I accepted my colleagues’ offer to go and watch ‘Just like heaven’. It was a romantic comedy. I almost cried because I was touched by the actor’s words (so sweet of him). Sigh.
14/11/05 Sijia and Siu Ling-jie thought I will ask them to eat at Crystal Jade Xiao Long Bao restaurant (I have never been there before. I just want to try the food and compare). I just love the xiao long bao at Ding Lai Feng (I’m not sure whether I spelled the name correctly).
I change the venue to Mache (never been there too) and again to Magic Wok (bcoz’ I invited more people and I have a Muslim colleague).
I tried out the tom yam soup. I kept on drinking water. My lips and face began to turn crimson (I can’t take hot & spicy food for the reason that I’m not trained since young and I got a sweet tooth). Hee ;p
They let me finish up the cereal prawns and lemon chicken. It seems like I’m the big eater in the group. Oops…
My pals know that I’m not a girly person even though I Keep long hair and sometimes wear earrings. Sijia-jie gave me Adidas perfume (it was a new fruity fragrance. I love fruity perfumes and lip balm). Siu Ling-jie -> Energy’s Final Fantasy concert DVD, TPN team (Noraizah, Jessi & Atika) -> an Espirt tee (it’s maroon colour. Eek! It’s the colour of my secondary school skirt. Diao…) Michelle-jie (pre-reg.) -> deodorant (xiang xiang de, coz’ I always say she xiang xiang…), flowery bracelet & a handmade necklace. Pearlyn-jie and Koon Mian-jie weren’t able to meet us. So both jie-jies owe me single dates. (Haha… please
don’t mistaken.)
15/11/05 I nearly watched ‘Just like heaven’ again with Fel and Samuel jr. I arrived late and Fel passed me Ribena pastilles. She said, since they are still students, they can’t afford to get birthday presents. I’m alright with that but the least… I replied, “you can get me a McDonald ice cream cone.” (My feelings were crashed.)
They were just joking with me. (I knew they won’t do that de. If not, I’ll really burst into tears.)
Fel gotten me a tee from 77th street and Sam jr. got an expensive duffel bag for me. The bag was nice except that it’s white. (I’m sorry, brother, to be complaining about the gift.) White is okay but I don’t know how to take care of it. (Hee… paiseh.)
19/11/05 I’m looking forward to meet Yan Zhen for lunch. We really are not fated to call each other. We tried so many times, then can get through. (Diao…)
We talked about ridiculous staff and patients. (Not trying to be mean but… some people are just… Weird!) She wanted me to guess what the gift is. I thought it was a make over of some sort. It was something similar to that. Let me give you a clue, we have to book an appointment for it de….
