Ouch....!!!

I was late for my appointment with the lab. The person was not able to find my vein to draw blood sample.

She asked a more senior staff who sat besides Huiyi at the reception. She poked into my left arm. She said my vein "jumped". Of course, it would. I would be the one jumping and escaping from the BIG needle. The spot had only a tiny dot of blood.

They had to ask the chief medical technologist to help. The uncle tied my upper right arm and kept on hitting the spot where the vein are located. When the skin broke and the needle entered the vein, my mind was thinking "why is it taking so long?" Then I saw the needle with the syringe. "Why the blood is black?" The med. technologist joked that I have a black heart. Right?! I’m not a 3-year-old kid loh.

I went back to the pharmacy with 2 button-sized plasters pasted to both my forearms. My 2nd boss asked what’s wrong. My senior and Uncle Hie laughed. Haiz… I am afraid of needles mah.

This is gonna to be about Energy Goodbye S'pore concert... that Fel and i went just now.

Yeah!!! Today I am going to Energy concert. Haha…

Everyone is very high and excited about the concert. Energy was half an hour plus late. We waited patiently.

They sang 2 fast songs ("Tian yu di" & "Hey you") to keep our adrenaline pumping. In the beginning, only Shuwei, Milk and Kun-da were dancing on stage. Then Ah-di came out, chained to a chair (just like in the mtv). At least, they arranged something for him too.

Shuwei was so high until his voice almost croaked after he sang the third song. Milk advised him to drink more water. He must be stressed up. I mean who can blame him. He has to cover the lead voice and dance too. Poor thing…

In the middle of the show, each one did a sole item. Milk started the ball rolling by doing what he did best. He cheographed and performed his special dance steps and took off his shirt at the end (the girls screamed, including Felicia not me. Of course.). Ah-di sang 2 un-plucked songs ("Hong dou" by Wang Fei and "Lai ting wo de yan chang hui" by Jacky Cheung).

Kun-da sang the theme song of his idol drama series, Mr Nightingale. He looked so kawaii in denim tux. He has a nice voice too.

Shuwei composed a song and wrote the lyrics himself. He wore a denim tux in another design. He give me the impression of being such a charming and sweet prince. Hehe… I was totally mesmerised by the way, he could play and sing a beautiful song at the same time.

Milk was being cheeky when he said he wanted to sing lead in the song "Mou nian mou yue mou yi tian." That particular part on high notes of "Babe babe babe~." All the fans applaud when he sang. He sounded not bad at all. He wanted to change standing places with Shuwei and Kun-da and also, Shuwei and Ah-di to be the backup singers. Therefore, Kun-da and he would sing the lead and 2nd lead respectively in "Mou nian mou yue mou yi tian".

Milk asked whether we know each of their favourite songs. His one should be "Mou nian mou yue mou yi tian". Kun-da mentioned he like the last song of their 4th album (ji shui). Ah-di wanted to jump keys to the high notes of "Cowboy" but the more he tried to reach the notes, the flatter his voice gets. Shuwei kept on singing his sole piece. Well, that song of his was certainly very nice (I always like songs with lyrics that meant how I felt at that point in time).

At around 10 plus, they said they sing almost 30 songs altogether. So many? Everybody shouted "Encore!" for quite a while as we thought they have left. They changed into traditional costumes and sang "We are family". That really was the last song of the day. I think each one of them must be exhausted (especially Ah-di) bcos’ he had difficulty in bowing to the audience.

Nevertheless, I can understand Ah-di’s feelings of being left behind the stage and not being able to dance too often. He has to allow time and care for his spine to heal properly and carefully. He cried nearing the end of the show. They promised not to cry but… God bless them always sia.
